Kara Kimberly, MD

Kara Kimberly, MD is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist at Penn Highlands, providing care for patients from children to seniors. Dr. Kimberly is highly experienced in diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses that may require surgery such as ear tubes, and tonsil and adenoid removal. She is adept at the evaluation of children and adults with special needs as her oldest son Jacob has autism. She has extensive training and experience in sinus surgery and procedures to relieve nasal obstruction. Dr. Kimberly has performed a high volume of skin cancer excisions requiring complex reconstruction, thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

Patients can call the office for an appointment for a wide variety of symptoms such as: ear pain, tinnitus, hearing loss, dizziness and balance issues, runny nose, nosebleeds, congestion, chronic cough, skin or oral cavity lesions, snoring, concern for sleep apnea, difficulty swallowing, sore throat, hoarseness, and reflux.

Dr. Kimberly also has a special interest in the use of Botox for the treatment of the following disorders: blepharospasm, facial spasm, bruxism (teeth grinding), temporomandibular joint disorders, drooling, and voice disorders. In addition to this, Dr. Kimberly also does a wide range of office based cosmetic procedures using Botox, Dysport, chemical peels and a wide variety of hyaluronic acid fillers.

Dr. Kimberly is dedicated to her family, Dr. Jeffrey Brandon Armstrong and their three children Jacob, Luke and Jack. She was born and raised in this area. She looks forward to caring for patients in this community.
