Sundeep Ekbote, MD, FAAEM

Sundeep Ekbote, MD, FAAEM, is a board-certified emergency medicine specialist, regional chief medical officer for the southwestern region and the director of emergency medicine at Penn Highlands Mon Valley.

Dr. Ekbote has three decades of experience, including 20 years in leadership positions. He joined Penn Highlands in 2017, where he recruited and led an emergency team seeing more than 30,000 patients each year.

As regional chief medical officer for the southwestern region, he leads the integration and development of the growing Penn Highlands Health System.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Ekbote was the medical director of Anywhere Care Virtual Urgent Care. He practiced for 15 years at Jefferson Hospital of Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, where he also served in leadership capacities.
