Welcome Sarah Ryan, PA-C
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Sarah Ryan, PA-C, to its medical staff.
Sarah joins the teams at Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, located at 123 Hospital Avenue in DuBois, and 239 Colonnade Boulevard, 2nd Floor, in State College.
Sarah provides highly skilled care to patients experiencing illness, injury or a chronic condition that causes joint or muscle pain.
Common treatments and procedures include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, carpal tunnel release, direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, distal bicep tendon repair, fracture care, knee arthroscopy, reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, shoulder arthroscopy, total knee arthroplasty and total shoulder arthroplasty.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Sarah gained clinical experience at Butler Health Systems in Butler, Stofman Plastic Surgery Group at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Kids Plus Pediatrics Squirrel Hill in Pittsburgh, Penn Highlands Connellsville in Connellsville and UPMC Altoona Blair Medical Associates in Altoona.
Sarah earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in Slippery Rock and her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Penn. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.
