Welcome New Physicians – October 2024

Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 849 physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our eight hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.

Claire L. Becker, MD, MFA
Connellsville, DuBois, Monongahela

Board-certified psychiatrist Claire L. Becker, MD, MFA, joins the team at the Behavioral Health Outpatient Center, located at 413 East Gibson Avenue in Connellsville.

Dr. Becker specializes in serious and persistent mental illness, community psychiatry and substance use disorder treatment. She offers comprehensive behavioral health care for adults.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Becker practiced at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Becker is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh and earned her Master of Fine Arts at St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA. She completed her residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in ECT at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Western Psychiatric Hospital, in Pittsburgh. She also completed a fellowship in public service psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Public Service, in Pittsburgh.

She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

John Georgino, DO
Brookville, Clearfield, DuBois, St. Marys

Emergency medicine physician John Georgino, DO, joins the emergency department teams at Penn Highlands Brookville, located at 100 Hospital Road in Brookville; Penn Highlands Clearfield, located at 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield; Penn Highlands DuBois, located at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois; and Penn Highlands Elk, located at 763 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys.

Dr. Georgino is certified in advanced trauma life support and provides expert care to patients experiencing severe or life-threatening injuries or illnesses.

Dr. Georgino is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, Wilderness Medical Society and Emergency Medicine Residents Association.

Timothy Kennedy, DO
Clarion

Family medicine physician Timothy Kennedy, DO, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Family Medicine, in Brookville and 265 Holiday Inn Road, Route 68, in Clarion.

Dr. Kennedy was raised in Pennsylvania, and completed his education and training in Erie and DuBois. With deep ties to the community, he is here to provide patients with the most comprehensive care possible at locations close to home.

Dr. Kennedy is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. He completed his residency in family medicine at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois.

Kyle Yebernetsky, MD
Brookville, Clearfield, DuBois, Huntingdon, St. Marys, State College

Board-certified emergency medicine physician Kyle Yebernetsky, MD, joins the emergency department teams at Penn Highlands Brookville, located at 100 Hospital Road in Brookville; Penn Highlands Clearfield, located at 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield; Penn Highlands DuBois, located at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois; Penn Highlands Huntingdon, located at 1225 Warm Springs Avenue in Huntingdon; Penn Highlands Elk, located at 763 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys; and Penn Highlands State College, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard in State College.

Dr. Yebernetsky provides advanced skilled care to patients experiencing severe or life-threatening conditions, including emergency heart care, emergency stroke care, trauma care and more.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Yebernetsky practiced at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Shamokin and Jersey Shore.

Dr. Yebernetsky is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Geisinger Health System in Danville.
