Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 849 physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our nine hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.
Ryan Corn, DO
DuBois
Neurologist/neurohospitalist Ryan Corn, DO, joins the team at Penn Highlands Neurology, located at 123 Hospital Avenue in DuBois.
As a neurologist/neurohospitalist, Dr. Corn cares for patients who have or are at risk of developing neurological disorders and diseases. He provides specialized care and the most advanced treatments for brain and spinal conditions.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Corn practiced at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y.
Dr. Corn is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton in Bradenton, Fla. He completed his residencies in internal medicine and neurology at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y.
Corey Gill, MD, MS

Emergency medicine physician Corey Gill, MD, MS, joins the emergency department teams at Penn Highlands Clearfield, located at 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield; Penn Highlands DuBois, located at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois; Penn Highlands Huntingdon, located at 1225 Warm Springs Avenue in Huntingdon; Penn Highlands State College, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard in State College; and Penn Highlands Tyrone, located at 187 Hospital Drive in Tyrone.
Dr. Gill not only specializes in emergency medicine, he is also highly experienced in neurosurgery and provides skilled care to patients experiencing severe and life-threatening conditions.
Dr. Gill is a graduate of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, N.Y. He underwent residency training in neurosurgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., and in emergency medicine at UPMC Harrisburg in Harrisburg.
Erik A. Hasenboehler, MD, FACS
DuBois
Multi-board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon Erik A. Hasenboehler, MD, FACS, joins the team at Penn Highlands Orthopedic Trauma, located at 123 Hospital Avenue in DuBois, as the Chief of Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Hasenboehler is a highly skilled specialist, having completed extensive training and multiple fellowships in his field. With more than two decades of experience, he provides expert surgical care to patients experiencing orthopedic traumatic injuries.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Hasenboehler practiced with the Orthopaedic Institute of Pennsylvania as the chief of orthopedic trauma at Holy Spirit Hospital Penn State Health (Level 2 Trauma Center) in Camp Hill.
Dr. Hasenboehler graduated from the University of Bern Faculty of Medicine in Bern, Switzerland. He completed his surgery and orthopedic trauma surgery residency in Switzerland. He holds dual board certification in Switzerland and is board certified in orthopedic surgery in the United States.
After his residency, Dr. Hasenboehler pursued additional fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at the University of Colorado Denver Health Medical Center and Panorama Orthopaedics St. Anthony’s Central Hospital in Denver, Colo., and in acute care and critical care surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
Dr. Hasenboehler served as an assistant professor (tenure track) in the department of orthopedic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., for almost 10 years. During his time at Hopkins, he was the leading orthopedic trauma surgeon at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (Level 2 Trauma Center), where he established the current orthopedic trauma service and served as the medical director of the Musculoskeletal Clinic. He was nominated as a top doctor in Baltimore for orthopedic trauma in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020.
In addition to his extensive surgical experience, Dr. Hasenboehler has devoted substantial time to teaching and training of the next generations of orthopedic surgeons nationally and internationally. In recognition of his teaching, he received the “Johns Hopkins Orthopaedic Department Best Teacher Award of the Year” in 2018 and 2019, and in 2018 he also received the Award for “Most Influential Attending of the Johns Hopkins Orthopaedic Surgery Department.” He has published extensively, including a book on post-traumatic arthritis. Dr. Hasenboehler serves as faculty at the AO North America and is part of the EAST Practice Guidelines Committee. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Michael Hoh, DO, FACOEP

With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Hoh provides expert care to patients suffering from serious illness or injury. He is a fellowship-trained physicians, and he holds specialized certification in advanced trauma care.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Hoh practiced at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; St. Marys Regional Medical Center in St. Marys; Brentwood Hospital/Meridia South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio; Richmond Heights General Hospital in Richmond Heights, Ohio; Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital in Wadsworth, Ohio; Clarion Hospital in Clarion; Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio; Clearfield Hospital in Clearfield; Punxsutawney Area Hospital in Punxsutawney; and UPMC Horizon in Farrell and Greenville.
Dr. Hoh is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship at Clarion Hospital in Clarion and his residency in emergency medicine at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American College of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine and American College of Emergency Medicine.
Patrick Jeanmenne, MD

Dr. Jeanmenne is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass.
Megan Newnam, DO, MBS

Board-certified emergency medicine physician Megan E. Newnam, DO, MBS, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Clearfield, located at 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield; Penn Highlands DuBois, located at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois; Penn Highlands Huntingdon, located at 1225 Warm Springs Avenue in Huntingdon; and Penn Highlands State College, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard in State College.
Dr. Newnam provides specialized care to patients with severe illness or injury. Dr. Newman is a highly experienced physician, including years spent treating the most life-threatening emergencies at a Level I Trauma Center.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Newnam practiced at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, Wash., and UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover.
Dr. Newnam is a graduate of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. She completed her Master of Biological Sciences at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia and her residency in emergency medicine at WellSpan York Hospital in York. She is a fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
Khiem D. Nguyen, MD
Clearfield, DuBois
Gastroenterologist Khiem D. Nguyen, MD, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located at 807 Turnpike Avenue, Suite 220, in Clearfield, and 621 South Main Street, Ground Floor, in DuBois.
Dr. Nguyen has over 20 years of experience and specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Nguyen practiced at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Fla.; St. Lucie Medical Center in St. Lucie, Fla.; St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading; Reading Hospital in Reading; and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown and in general surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Ziver Sahin, MD
Monongahela
Board-certified pathologist Ziver Şahin, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Mon Valley, located at 1163 Country Club Road in Monongahela.
Dr. Şahin is a fellowship-trained pathologist who works closely with other members of your medical team to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases. He provides experienced care and is dedicated to answering the questions that patients face about their illnesses, particularly when it comes to ruling out and determining the cause of their symptoms.
Dr. Şahin is a graduate of Istanbul University in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed his residency in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology and fellowships in hematopathology and blood banking and transfusion medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology.
