Welcome McKenzie Burford, PA-C

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant McKenzie Burford, PA-C, to its medical staff.

McKenzie joins the team at the Fracture Clinic at Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, located at 123 Hospital Avenue in DuBois.

McKenzie specializes in orthopedic trauma care. She provides expert care to patients experiencing musculoskeletal injuries and other conditions.

Common treatments and procedures include carpal tunnel treatment, hand surgery, joint replacement program, micro-invasion carpal tunnel release, non-surgery orthopedic care, occupational therapy, orthopedic physical therapy, orthopedic surgery, physical therapy, rehabilitation services and sports medicine.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, McKenzie gained clinical experience at UPMC Muncy in Muncy; Family Center for Recovery in Lantana, Fla.; Penn Highlands Dubois in Dubois; Walnut Bottom Family Practice in Mount Holly Springs; Lycoming Internal Medicine in Lock Haven; Blue Mountain Pediatrics in Brodheadsville; Specialty Orthopaedics in Sharon; and UPMC Hanover in Hanover.

McKenzie earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Science in Health Science at Commonwealth University in Lock Haven. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Physician Associates.
