Welcome Jack D. Schocker, MD, FACR
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes radiation oncologist Jack D. Schocker, MD, FACR, to its medical staff.
Dr. Schocker joins the team at the Hahne Cancer Center, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard in State College.
Dr. Schocker has nearly five decades of experience and is a residency-trained specialist, conferring upon him the highest degree of training and education in his field. He offers several kinds of radiation therapy, including image-guided radiotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and volumetric-modulated arc therapy.
Common treatments and procedures include image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH).
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Schocker practiced at UPMC Altoona in Altoona and Allentown Hospital/Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown.
Dr. Schocker is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency in radiation oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship in clinical oncology at the American Cancer Society in Philadelphia. He is a fellow of the American College of Radiology.
