Welcome Dora Nelson, PA-C

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Dora Nelson, PA-C, to its medical staff.

Dora joins the teams at QCare Ridgway, located at 250 West Main Street in Ridgway, and QCare St. Marys, located at 761 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 160, in St. Marys.

Dora is a native of Elk County who cares very deeply for the people in the Ridgway and St. Marys communities, and she is dedicated to providing them with excellent care when they are unable to see their primary care providers.

Common treatments and procedures include aches/pains, minor injuries, rashes, respiratory illnesses, skin infections, sprains and UTIs.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dora completed clinical rotations at Moshannon Valley Rural Health Center in Philipsburg, Sunrise Collaborative in Warren, Digestive Diseases of NW Pennsylvania in Erie, PCA Internal Medicine in DuBois, Twinbrook Rehabilitation and Saint Mary’s at Asbury Ridge in Erie and Penn Highlands General Surgery in St. Marys.

Dora earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Mercyhurst University in Erie and her Bachelor of Science in Health Science at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
