Welcome Donald Scott Schneider, MD

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified gastroenterologist Donald Scott Schneider, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Schneider joins the team at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located at 807 Turnpike Avenue, Suite 220, in Clearfield.

Dr. Schneider is fellowship-trained and provides comprehensive gastroenterology care. He has more than three decades of experience and has served in prominent positions, including endoscopy medical director.

Common treatments and procedures include acute GI tract diseases, chronic GI tract diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease and ulcerative colitis.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Schneider practiced at Geisinger Health System in State College; Brunswick Gastroenterology Associates in Brunswick, Maine; Geisinger Medical Center in Danville; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene, N.H.; and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, NY.

Dr. Schneider is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, N.Y. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology with advanced endoscopic year at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
