Penn Highlands Elk Pinecrest Manor to Offer CNA Certification Class
Penn Highlands Elk Pinecrest Manor is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification Class that will begin on Monday, August 12, 2024. The classes are held at Penn Highlands Elk Pinecrest Manor which is located on the campus of Penn Highlands Elk at 763 Johnsonburg Road, in St. Marys, Pa.
The six-week course is open to members of the community and Penn Highlands Healthcare employees free of charge; and, trainees are paid an hourly wage and receive benefits during the training, orientation and until they pass their Pennsylvania State CNA exam. Penn Highlands Healthcare will cover the costs of the students’ certification exams. One of the best benefits is that students will have permanent CNA positions with Penn Highlands Healthcare upon completion of their certification.
CNAs play a vital role in patient/resident care. From providing personal care such as bathing and feeding residents to stocking medical supplies and logging patient information, CNAs help enhance patient outcomes. A CNA position is a great entry point to a nursing career.
