Dr. Zeliger Reopens Orthopedic Practice
Penn Highlands Healthcare is pleased to announce that local orthopedic surgeon, Keith L. Zeliger, DO, is reopening his orthopedic practice to non-emergent and elective patients in DuBois.
Zeliger’s new office is located in the Penn Highlands DuBois Medical Arts Building, Suite 206, 145 Hospital Avenue, DuBois. His new office phone number is 814-299-7432.
Zeliger is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has the experience and training to perform a wide range of arthroscopic and open orthopedic procedures. The most common procedures include Achilles tendon repair, ACL repairs, ankle ligament reconstruction, Arthroscopic and open rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction, carpal tunnel surgery, joint injections, total joint replacement of the hip and knee, trigger finger and tennis elbow.
Dr. Zeliger began seeing orthopedic patients in DuBois in 1996 and carries a long tradition as a skilled surgeon and a compassionate caregiver. As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, his training and experience allows him to diagnose and treat all types of bone and joint issues caused by trauma including fractures and total joint replacement.
In 2014, Zeliger helped start a new orthopedic care service in DuBois for patients coming through the emergency department. The “surgicalist” program at Penn Highlands DuBois serves both general and orthopedic emergency surgery patients. Zeliger now serves a dual role for both patients needing elective surgeries and as inpatient orthopedic surgicalist. He performs all of his orthopedic procedures at Penn Highlands DuBois.
After receiving his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Zeliger completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. He completed both an orthopedic surgery fellowship and a sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery fellowship at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami in Liberty City, Florida.
